Hello, I’m Alan – a retired scientist who’s comfortable in virtually any setting from cozy camping to formal receptions.

Although I no longer feel the need to establish a serious long-term relationship with anyone, I still very much enjoy spending time with a woman and spoiling her. I suppose my mother taught me well, as I enjoy courtesies as simple as opening doors, escorting my companion to her door in the evening, or just actively listening when she wants or needs to talk.

I have always been adventurous and look forward to meeting new challenges. I have enjoyed introducing friends to exciting new experiences from scuba diving to skydiving. More recently, however, I am often more content with just playing pickleball.

I love to travel, having been all over the United States and various countries across four continents (so far). I won’t claim to be fluent in any languages other than English. But I have managed to communicate in Spanish, Russian, German, and Swahili, when necessary.

Although I am definitely a dog person, cats don’t seem to care, and I can make friends with almost any animal, having swum with sharks and danced with wolves. I will always be a fan of classic rock, although my last such concert was on the Eagles “Hell Freezes Over” tour. My focus now tends more toward true Classical music and my favorite concert featured Perlman playing Tchaikovsky. I will admit that Bocelli was also very impressive, however.

I could easily meet with anyone in North Carolina and, with a little more planning, could travel to any nearby states. Realistically, I could arrange to meet just about anywhere in the United States, with adequate preparation and assuming expenses are paid. If anyone is looking for a travel companion or a plus-one for a special event and might appreciate being appropriately pampered, I would look forward to meeting you.

Similarly, if anyone is looking for more personal attention or even just to talk, I could be available for shorter meetings. By the way, I especially enjoy giving massages, although I am not a licensed masseur.
