Why aren’t there as many male escorts as female escorts?
We were recently asked this very same question by a longstanding, popular escort of ours. He had this conversation while on a date with one of his latest clients and we thought it would make a good topic for a quick blog post.
In a recent study, it was found that both women and men are more likely to be contacted by the opposite sex than they were 20 years ago. However, when it comes to initiating a conversation with someone for a date, women are more successful than men.
A number of theories have been put forward to explain why this is true. One popular theory is that people are more receptive to females in general and females taking the initiative might be especially welcomed by those who have been rejected or ignored before.
In summary – it’s much easier for women to find a date than men.
Which in essence, sums up this whole question – it’s a matter of supply and demand.
Straight men who can’t find a date or someone to spend time with, instead turn to the company of a female escort. It’s simple, straightforward and they’re practically guaranteed a positive experience.
The headline figures explain just this, there are roughly 100,000 escorts (including sex workers) in the UK, 88% were women, 6% men and 4% transgender (according to Wikipedia).
Despite this, as we have found within our directory, the demand for hiring a male escort is certainly souring in the UK as many feel more confident to express who we are and what we like, alongside more of us seeking convenience and swift, easy access to a positive dating experience.
